Carson City BBQ specializes in catering all types of events with our delicious barbeque and fine dining feasts. From casual to elegant, our high quality, freshly prepared onsite award-winning fare and exceptional service will make your event extra special and very memorable!

We have nine mobile catering units and up to 30 employees to fit your every need. From weddings to company picnics, we can customize our services to fit your event by offering bartenders, cake, and champagne service*. What sets us apart is that we bring the cooker to you and finish cooking fresh on-site. We have tables and chair rentals available as well. Locations include, but are not limited to, Lake Tahoe, the Greater Reno area, and Carson Valley. You name it, we’ll make it happen. We’ll go anywhere.

*Carson City BBQ does not provide alcohol.

We bring the cookerto you

We do not cook at a commissary and drive the food over in warming trays. The rotisserie smoker comes to your venue and finishes cooking there — so the ribs coming off the rack are the ribs going onto the plate.

That is why the cook units matter: 9 of them, plus a crew big enough to run a full-service line for a wedding, a company picnic, or a last-minute Celebration of Life.

How an on-site cater actually runs

No kitchen required at your end. Everything for the event travels with us.

  1. We load out

    The rotisserie smoker goes on the trailer along with tents, grills, warmers, tables and serving gear. Everything for the event travels with us.

  2. We set up at your venue

    Cooker, serving line, tables to serve on and tents to serve under if you are outside. You do not need a kitchen.

  3. The meat finishes on site

    Nothing is cooked at a commissary and driven over in warming trays. It finishes on the rotisserie at your venue — nothing reheated, no boxed meals.

  4. Smoker to buffet line

    The ribs coming off the rack are the ribs going onto the plate. Standard service covers a two-hour serve window.

Perfecting the rib is what keeps us cooking.

Add any of these alongside the food so the whole setup arrives from one vendor.

Minimums. 20 people for drop-off and pick-up, 40 people for a full cater.

Bartender service
We can staff and run your bar for the evening. Carson City BBQ does not provide the alcohol itself — you supply it, our crew pours it.
Cake & champagne service
Toasts poured, cake cut and served by our crew, so nobody in your wedding party has to step away from the party to do it.
Tables & chair rentals
Seating and tables are available to rent alongside the catering, so the whole setup arrives from one vendor.
Customized menus
From casual to elegant. We can customize our services to fit your event — vegetarian and vegan options included.

Distances are straight-line from our base at 5110 S Edmonds Dr in Carson City, nearest first. Travel fees are added to caters outside our immediate area.
